Do you know jokbal?
It's a Korean dish made by braising pig's trotters in soy sauce-based seasoning until the meat becomes tender and flavorful. It’s typically wrapped in lettuce with various condiments and eaten as a wrap.
Today, I visited Yunmilwon, the holy grail of jokbal in Bundang. This place skyrocketed in popularity after being highly recommended by Sung Si-kyung, a famous Korean singer and food-loving entertainer.
Though he’s well-known now for food content, don’t forget—his voice and songs are absolutely beautiful. You should definitely listen to him sometime!
Yunmilwon didn’t used to be this popular, but now… wow—haha.
Ta-da~♡ Yunmilwon
I arrived just before the 5 PM break, and the place was already bustling with people.
No doubt—this spot is a top-tier favorite!
Takeout Tip:
If you call ahead to order takeout, you can skip the long wait and pick it up right away.
One of the best things about takeout is they give you generous portions of garlic salad, chive salad, and cilantro. You can use the leftover garlic the next day with boiled pork belly—two meals in one!
The glossy, tender jokbal here is absolutely delicious.
While I wouldn’t say the jokbal itself is extraordinarily different, the magic comes from the garlic doenjang (fermented soybean paste) and chili oil—those are the secret kick!
Wrap them all together in lettuce, and it’s just perfection.
If you're ever in Bundang, I really recommend giving it a try♡
Takeout is a great option too!
